This office specializes in Endocrinology. We are accepting new patients with endocrine problems such as diabetes, osteoporosis, high cholesterol, calcium problems and problems related to the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroids, pancreas, testis and adrenal glands.

The office is dedicated to educating our patients while providing compassionate and high quality medical care which is based on contemporary treatment guidelines and solid medical science.

Dr. Zwerling has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association / National Committee for Quality Assurance for providing high quality diabetic care.

Dr. Ariza is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Dr. Ariza has been invited to give a lecture to the Peruvian Association of Obesity and Atherosclerosis in Lima, Peru.  

Dr. Ariza is an expert in thyroid ultrasounds and has achieved "Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasonography" from the American College of Endocrinology.

The Lowell Diabetes and Endocrine Center has been certified to perform thyroid ultrasounds by the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine.

Dr. Zwerling has discovered a new use for the medicine cinacalcet (Sensipar) which was published in the prestigious medical journal Endocrine Practice (Jan/Feb 2012) under the title "A Novel Use of Cinacalcet to Distinguish Primary Hyperparathyroidism from Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in a Patient with a Low-Normal Parathyroid Hormone Concentration"
